Project Detail

We know how important first impressions are! With this project we aim to empower both women and men to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, and professional attire.

With our Dress for Dignity project, we aim to help people from the community make the best possible first impression at a job interview. We’ve got two clothing rails for women and two for men, with presentable outfits for both. When someone needs a neat and tidy outfit for an interview, they can contact us and come choose an outfit. We assist them with an overall presentable appearance and when they leave, they can keep the outfit they have chosen. First impressions matter and so does confidence.

Challenge

Making a good first impression can be a challenge when you don’t have access to presentable clothing. Everyone knows how important an interview is and your appearance could mean the difference between a salary at the end of the month, or none.

Idea

Most people have clothing in their closets that is taking up space. Maybe it’s something you’ve grown out of or never really got to wear. If it’s in a good condition, we’ll take it off your hands!
